Welcome to Shalom House
Shalom House helps hundreds of people with serious mental illness each year by providing an array of community-based mental health services and a choice of affordable quality housing where people can escape the stress of homelessness, hunger, and isolation. Our goal is to help people address personal goals, receive services, and once again become a vital part of the community.

Shalom House works with many in our community who are dedicated to improving the life of those living with mental illness. Each year we celebrate these individuals through our Hope Awards. This year we honor Jo Freedman, Mental Health Coordinator, Portland Police Department Mental Health Unit and Steve Cotreau and the Portland Recovery Community Center.
