Unfortunately at this time the number of registrations are too low to move forward. Therefore, we must cancel the conference.

Those who have sent in their registration and payment will be reimbursed the full registration fee.  If you have any questions regarding reimbursement please contact Jill Silander at jsilander@shalomhouseinc.org.

While this conference did not draw the interest we were expecting, Shalom House and the Greater Portland Hoarding Task Force will continue to provide our community with invaluable hoarding resources and trainings.   We are already planning a smaller and less expensive seminar on hoarding for the fall.  We will let you know more about this in the coming months. Our thanks go out to everyone who has worked on and expressed interest in the conference and the work the Task Force is doing.

If you are interested in participating in the task force please contact Eric Grainger, egrainger@shalomhouseinc.org for more information or visit the Task Force website at www.hoardingme.org.

GREATER PORTLAND HOARDING TASKFORCE

The Greater Portland Hoarding Task Force is a collaborative effort of numerous private and state agencies, government services, and community members concerned about the problem of hoarding in Maine. One of several such task forces nationwide, this group has been formed to improve the quality of life for those affected by hoarding through raising public awareness, increasing access to treatment, reducing the gaps in resources, educating service providers, and expanding the limited support options.

Annual Appeal

“Twenty years ago our son was diagnosed with a mental illness.  With the care and commitment of several medical professionals he was finally stabilized. Then came the "what next"? His doctor suggested, "Your son needs to go somewhere where he can shine."

“That somewhere was Shalom House. Today, our son is stable and working. Two things we were never sure he would be.  The supportive environment at Shalom House provides him with the freedom he needs to spread his wings but with a safe and secure nest for his return.”

You can help us make a difference in the lives of the people living with mental illness in our community.  By contributing to the Shalom House Annual Fund you play a major role in providing our clients with the tools and opportunities to enhance their lives and regain their independence.  Your gift will help us continue to…

…provide quality, stable and affordable housing.

…provide high quality, flexible mental health services.

…ease the burden and improve the quality of life.

…support community outreach and awareness.

…let them Shine!

We invite you to join us in furthering our mission by making a tax-deductible gift to our Annual Fund.  Your contribution will help us ensure the continuity of our programs and the health and wellness of our clients.
